career

FORSYTH COUNTY — The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Workforce Development Mobile Career Coach will be visiting two locations in Forsyth County next month.

The career coach will be at the Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdown Road in north Forsyth, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on April 9.

It will visit the Cumming Library, 585 Dahlonega Road, during those same hours on April 21.

According to a news release from the regional commission, the unit will be available at each stop to assist residents with searching and/or applying for jobs online.

They can also get help writing a resume and/or cover letter and determining career interests.

In addition, visitors can learn about tuition assistance and on-the-job training programs. There are also skills testing and mock interview simulations.

The work force development agency is operated by regional commission.

Those seeking assistance through the mobile career coach must be a resident of the commission’s service area — 13 counties including Forsyth, Dawson and Hall — or be currently or formerly employed by a company whose business is located there.
