The Forsyth County Board of Education recognized Northside Hospital-Forsyth at its August meeting for donating $25,000 to the school system’s five new schools.

The funding was targeted toward the following: automated external defibrillators; AED batteries; CPR mannequins; stethoscopes; audiometers; and otoscopes.

Money also went toward a transport chair for each new school and basic first aid supplies used every day.

The local hospital has been a partner at large with the school district for many years.

It sponsors a “Celebration of Excellence” luncheon every spring that draws about four hundred business and community leaders.

The hospital also is one of the gold sponsors for the system’s annual new educators orientation.

Northside has provided clinics throughout the system with supplies to help meet the health care needs of students.
