• Anyone interested in attending the Express Employment Professionals’ 2013 Refresh Leadership Simulcast should R.S.V.P. to Rodney.Moore@Expresspros.com by April 12.
• The simulcast will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 17 at the Georgia State University Alpharetta campus, 3775 Brookside Pkwy., Alpharetta.
A south Forsyth business will play host to a national leadership simulcast on April 17.
Express Employment Professionals on Shiloh Road will offer the 2013 Refresh Leadership Simulcast beginning with breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Georgia State University Alpharetta campus.
The simulcast, which will feature a lineup of nationally known business leaders, will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 12:30 p.m.
Rodney Moore, owner of the local Express Employment Professionals site, said the event is open to the public. However, space is limited, so those planning to attend should R.S.V.P. via e-mail to Rodney.Moore@Expresspros.com by April 12.
The event is free, but those attending are asked to give a $10 donation which will go to the Children’s Miracle Network.
“Our passion as a company is to work with Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, so we’re asking if they could to make a donation to that,” Moore said. “But there’s no charge for the seminar.”
The local Express Employment Professionals franchise began in 2000 and serves Alpharetta, Cumming, Johns Creek and north Gwinnett with staffing needs and direct hire employees in a variety of fields, including administrative, commercial, technical, marketing and accounting.
According to Moore, the live simulcast will be presented at numerous Express Employment Professionals locations throughout the United States and Canada.
“This is one of our corporate office’s major marketing campaigns,” he said. “We’ve got 600-plus franchises and probably around 300 of them will have the simulcast in their city or market.
“It’s a way to really provide additional educational training for our clients and the community, and that’s the whole idea behind it.”
Moore said the caliber of the speakers alone should be a draw for business leaders.
“We’ve gone out and acquired three nationally known speakers for their leadership abilities and we feel like by attending, people will end up with excellent ideas that they could go back and implement with their own companies and their own employees.”
Those speakers include: Guy Kawasaki, best-selling author and founder of Alltop.com; Terry Bradshaw, professional Football Hall of Fame member and co-host of Fox NFL Sunday; and Amanda Gore, a workplace communication and performance expert.
Kawasaki, also a former chief evangelist of Apple, will present “Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds and Action.”
Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Bradshaw will share his strategy of success through persistent self-improvement by challenging leaders to think new ways about sacrifice, pain, competition and adversity.
Gore will present “Wake Up to the Spirit of Leadership,” directing leaders to have a change of heart and spirit.
Moore said the event should be positive for anyone interested in learning more about becoming an effective leader.
“We have been doing this for the last four or five years and we’ve always gotten excellent attendance,” he said. “We do a survey afterwards and the feedback has always been excellent in regards to what [participants] took away from the training session, so I’m sure this year will be as good or better.”
