CUMMING -- Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation, which serves parts of seven counties including Forsyth, has been recognized by J.D. Power as a 2014 Customer Champion.
According to information from Sawnee EMC, just 50 companies in the nation earn the distinction each year.
To qualify, they must excel not only within their own industry, but also among the nine industries included in the J.D. Power Customer Champions analysis.
To determine the winners, J.D. Power examines five factors: people, presentation, process, product and price.
In the scoring process, more than 600 brands were evaluated, and those named to the champions’ list were identified based on customer feedback, opinions and perceptions gathered through 2013 research.
Michael Goodroe, president and CEO of Sawnee EMC, said in a statement that he and other leaders were “honored to receive this distinction and be included in this elite group of U.S. companies.”
