Verizon Wireless recently added new cell phone sites in northern and eastern Forsyth County.

According to information from Verizon, the sites provide enhanced coverage for its network along Browns Bridge and Buford Dam roads, east of Cumming and south of the Chestatee community.

Another new site provides enhanced coverage at the northern and western ends of Lake Lanier in Forsyth.

Verizon announced last month that its 4G LTE network is substantially complete in Georgia after launching in Atlanta and Athens in December 2010.

Since then, the company has invested more than $550 million on its network in the state.
