The biannual ping pong tournament at Norman’s Landing has come and gone.

Restaurant owner Bill Norman said it was a successful venture this year, with $1,200 raised for the Humane Society of Forsyth County.

Forty-two players went head to head in singles and doubles events during the table tennis tournament, which was held Oct. 13 and 14 at the restaurant off Ga. 400’s Exit 13.

Josh Panrow won the singles tournament, with second place going to Mason Barber.

Doubles winners were Gerald Echols and Jim Morris, while Panrow and Norman took second place.

“It was great,” Norman said. “Everybody had a good time. We’re already looking forward to the next one.”

Norman’s Landing has held 27 ping pong fundraisers since it opened. The events have raised more than $60,000 for local charities and organizations.
