SOUTH FORSYTH -- With the holiday season rapidly approaching, Sawnee Association of the Arts is holding its 13th annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Festival this Saturday and Sunday.
The event will be held Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Forsyth Conference Center at Lanier Technical College.
The festival, which will be held both indoors and outdoors, is touted as the largest arts and crafts festival in Forsyth County, with more than 100 vendors expected at this year’s event.
Vendors will be judged on their work, which will feature original, handcrafted pieces.
Festival artists produce paintings, drawings, photographs and pottery, among other works in different mediums.
Food trucks, food vendors and kettle corn will be available outside, along with 12 non-profit organizations the association is hosting as part of its community outreach program.
Weather permitting, children will have the opportunity to play in two moonwalks that will benefit Supporting Adoption & Foster Families Together, or SAFFT, of Forsyth County.
They will also be able to shop in the “elf corner,” where elves will help children choose and wrap gifts for friends and family.
