Concert series kicks off Thursday at The Collection
Concert series

The Collection at Forsyth already offers food, shopping and movies, but this summer visitors will be able to also hear some free live music.

On Thursday, The Collection, a popular outdoor shopping center on Peachtree Parkway, will begin its sixth annual summer concert series with a performance by Last Five Standing. Concerts will be held each Thursday through July 20.

“We’re proud to be a gathering place for the Forsyth community, and our annual summer concert series is a way for us to give back to our customers and celebrate the community spirit of Forsyth,” said Thomas Tropea, managing director of Core Property Capital, in a news release.

The Collection will begin its sixth annual summer concert series this week and continue each Thursday through July 20.

Several artists will be entertaining listeners this year:

June 8 – Last Five Standing

June 15 – Adam Komesar

June 22 – Lance Price Band

June 29 – Lilac Wine

July 6 – Adam Komesar

July 13 – Cole Thannish

July 20 – James Patrick Morgan

Certain stores and restaurants at The Collection will have specials on concert nights.

Each Thursday, festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with restaurant samplings and children’s activities, including scavengers hunts and face painting. Bands will then play from 7-9 p.m.

Visitors can bring lawn chairs and blankets to the shows.

A “restaurant mix and mingle” will also be held during the concert series, as will a Father’s Day celebration, food tastings and giveaways.
