Celebrate Georgia Arbor Day on Feb. 18 by planting a free red maple seedling from Keep Forsyth County Beautiful.

A limited number of tree seedlings have been made from the convenience center at 351 Tolbert St.

The tree seedlings are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.

"Trees provide a lasting gift to future generations," said Tammy Wright, director of Keep Forsyth County Beautiful. "They improve the surrounding area and are good for the environment."

Those picking up a seedling will be asked to provide a brief description of the planned location of the tree.

"We welcome residents to keep us updated on the progress of the planted trees by sending us photos or information about how they have enjoyed their trees," Wright said.
