$65K construction vehicle stolen from site in south Forsyth

Forsyth County authorities are currently looking for the suspect or suspects they believe are responsible for stealing a construction vehicle worth $65,000 from an apartment complex in south Forsyth that is currently under construction.

According to an incident report from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, on March 9 deputies received reports from a south Forsyth builder, that sometime between March 3 and 7, a piece of construction equipment, a Takeuchi TL10 tracked skid steer vehicle, was stolen from the under-construction Haw Creek Apartments.

The report stated that the builder had last seen the vehicle at about 3 p.m. on March 3, when he left the location and noticed the vehicle was missing at 9 a.m. on March 7.

The report stated that the area was paved, “so no tire marks of any suspect vehicle could be obtained.”

According to deputies, the builder stated that anyone “could have just drove right up to [the vehicle] and loaded it into a trailer and no one would have known.”

The builder had alerted his associates to see if any had borrowed the vehicle, but according to the report, all had denied taking it.
