One man has been arrested and two more are being sought for their suspected roles in a Cumming home invasion Tuesday afternoon.

According to Cumming police, Shaeem McLaren is being held without bond in the Forsyth County Detention Center on charges of theft by taking, burglary with intent to commit a theft and armed robbery.

All three are felony charges for McLaren, who is also on probation in Alpharetta for an August offense of possession of marijuana.

Police Sgt. Bryan Zimbardi said the department is using witness accounts to track down the other two men wanted in connection with the robbery.

The incident happened about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Adair Park subdivision off Sawnee Drive at Cumming’s northern edge.

According to the incident report, the resident reported that the men made off with a PlayStation 3, iPod, iPhone 4, $280 in cash and a clear plastic jar containing a half  gram of marijuana.

He also said one of the men held him at gunpoint and then struck him with the handgun before leaving in a white Honda that had stopped to pick up the suspects.

Zimbardi said the vehicle had dropped off two men and returned to pick them up, according to witnesses. He would not say if McLaren was the driver or one of the suspects who entered the house.

“We are following a couple of other leads on people at the moment,” he said. “We have possibles, not probables, so the detective is running those now.”
