GAINESVILLE — Five northeast Georgia men are accused of arranging to meet a 14-year-old for sex in Gainesville, according to authorities.

The men allegedly offered money for sex to an undercover agent posing as a teen, according to arrest warrants.

The five arrested men were: Sambo Kong, 29, of Athens; David Bryan Bryant, 48, of Gainesville; Clifford Allen Nash, 37, of Commerce; Aaron Clayton Boone, 32, of Cleveland; and Sagarkumar Chetankumar Patel, 22, of Oakwood.

According to the warrants, the men are accused of “knowingly subjecting who [they] thought was a child under the age of 18 years of age by meeting at an arranged location and did offer to pay said undercover officer posing as a 14-year-old for sex.”

The FBI is handling the investigation and was not available for comment Monday due to the federal Columbus Day holiday. The case also involved the Gainesville Police Department, Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Oakwood Police.

The warrants for criminal attempt to commit human trafficking list the incidents as happening between Friday and Saturday at the Hilton Garden Inn on Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville.

The general manager at the hotel had left for the day and was not available to comment.

Bryant was additionally charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime for allegedly having a 9 mm handgun on his person, according to the warrants.

All five men also face a charge of criminal attempt to commit child molestation and pandering, according to the warrants.
