DAWSONVILLE — Two suspects are in custody and two more are sought in connection with a string of thefts in Dawson and Forsyth counties.

Dawson County Sheriff’s Capt. Tony Wooten said the Sept. 21 arrest of Calvin Blackstone, 31, of Dawsonville for a probation violation led investigators to a home off Knight Road in north Forsyth.

Inside the residence, authorities recovered several items taken during recent thefts from homes and vehicles.

Jonathan Lamar Brumbelow, 19, who lives at the home, was arrested on burglary and theft by receiving stolen property charges.

Wooten said warrants have been issued for two other suspects in the thefts, Roger William Brumbelow, 23, and Nathan Seth Davis, 17, both of Forsyth County.

The group has been linked to at least three reports of entering automobiles and one burglary in Dawson County.

“We’re continuing to look into other possible cases,” said Wooten, adding that the men are also likely suspects in numerous thefts in Forsyth.

Blackstone and Brumbelow are being held at the Dawson County Detention Center.

According to Wooten, the case began to unfold Sept. 21 when sheriff’s deputies spotted a laptop computer in the backseat of Blackstone’s vehicle while serving a warrant on him.

Earlier that morning, Smith had taken a report from a resident whose laptop computer had been stolen.

Blackstone later told authorities he had gotten the computer from the north Forsyth home.

The next night, armed with a search warrant, Dawson and Forsyth investigators went to the home off Knight Road.
