WEST FORSYTH — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of a 27-year-old Cumming man who was killed in a single-vehicle wreck Monday morning on Bentley Road.

Alexander Robert Hunt lost control of an eastbound 1997 Plymouth Breeze in a curve on Bentley about 9 a.m., according to Mike Nelson, a traffic investigator with the sheriff’s office.

The vehicle returned to the road before crossing over it and striking a tree just east of the Fox Creek subdivision.

According to Nelson, speed appears to have been a factor in the wreck, which remains under investigation.

The road was closed until about 11 a.m. while authorities cleared the scene.

The fatality was at least the seventh of the year on Forsyth roads and the second of the month.

On June 1, a 17-year-old rising high school senior was killed when the pickup truck in which he was riding crashed on Kelly Mill Road, also in west Forsyth.
