Anyone with information about the death on Park Street is asked to call Cumming police at (770) 781-2000 or GBI at (800) 597-8477.
Authorities say foul play is suspected in the death of a 34-year-old woman whose body was found Wednesday afternoon in her Cumming home.
Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokesman John Bankhead said an autopsy was being conducted Thursday at the agency's crime lab to determine the manner and cause of death of Maria Hernandez-Reyes.
“At this point, we do not plan on releasing the cause when it is determined due to the investigative value,” Bankhead said Thursday.
He said a man renting a room from Hernandez-Reyes and her husband found her body Wednesday afternoon when he came home from work.
The house is at 110 Park St., which is off Pilgrim Mill Road near Cumming City Park.
The GBI and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is assisting Cumming police with the investigation, Bankhead said.
The death is the third of a suspicious nature in the past year in the city limits.
