A Forsyth County couple faces drug charges after an undercover operation in Barrow County.

Aaron and Holly Smith, both of Cumming, were arrested Friday morning by Winder police and charged with sale of marijuana and sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

Authorities said the Smiths were taken into custody after a pound of suspected marijuana, worth an estimated $1,600, was delivered to an undisclosed location in Winder.

“The timely response of the patrol division allowed for a safe and quick apprehension of these subjects,” said Lt. Frank Farr with Winder police.

The Smiths are being held at the Barrow County Detention Center.
