The Forsyth County Sheriff’s office has arrested a local man for multiple alleged charges of sexual crimes against a child under 16.

Charles Patrick Hamrick, 49, of Forsyth County was taken into custody on Wednesday at an extended-stay hotel address off McFarland Parkway after detectives investigating child molestation charges made against him allegedly found enough evidence to secure warrants for his arrest, according to Cpl. Doug Rainwater of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Hamrick has been charged with one count of child molestation and two counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes.

He was released from the Forsyth County Jail on Thursday after posting a bond of more than $38,000.
