CUMMING — A months-long drug investigation culminated this week with the arrests of four people and seizure of 48 bags of suspected methamphetamine.

Authorities also found about one gram of cocaine in the residence, along with about $8,000 in cash, scales, pipes and bags.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the bust went down Tuesday at a home on 14th Street, off Tribble Gap Road north of downtown Cumming.

Robin Regan, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office said three men who lived at the residence were arrested: Amado Sandoval-Cortes, 34; Jose Quintana, 21; and Cesar Rojo, 29. All are being held without bond.

A fourth person, 18-year-old Haley Jenkins of Alpharetta, also was taken into custody.

According to the sheriff’s office, Sandoval-Cortes has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, has placed a hold on him.

Quintana faces charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug-related objects. Regan said he also has several outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania for aggravated assault, robbery, burglary and theft.

“Quintana, of course, if he ever does get out [of custody], will go to Pennsylvania,” Regan said.

Rojo was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, while Jenkins was charged with possession of meth.

Jenkins was released from the Forsyth County Detention Center about 12 hours later after posting an $11,110 bond.

The investigation began in December, according to Regan, who noted that the individual bags held a total of 33 grams of meth with an estimated street value of about $3,300.

He added that the probe is ongoing.

“We will always still investigate to see if there are any other connections with any other crimes,” he said.
