CUMMING — The fourth and final suspect in what authorities have described as a lengthy drug investigation was arrested Tuesday morning.

Warrants were issued in mid-November for 30-year-old Charles “Charlie” Wigley of Cumming, who was sought for possession of 1 gram of methamphetamine and 24.5 alprazolam and five amphetamine pills.

Wigley also reportedly had three hydrocodone pills, 4 grams of marijuana and some used methamphetamine.

He had been the remaining at-large suspect in a drug investigation in which three others had been charged.

He remains in the Forsyth County Jail without bond, according to Epifanio Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives arrested Virginia Hemphill, 33, in November on charges of possession of: amphetamine, hydrocodone, marijuana, methamphetamine and drug-related items.

She was also charged with possession of alprazolam with intent to distribute.

Arrested for possession of methamphetamine were Peggy Darlene Pilcher, 45, and Robert Shirley, 40, according to the sheriff’s office.

Pilcher has been released from the Forsyth County Jail after posting bond, while Hemphill and Shirley are being held without bond.

Rodriguez said none of the four suspects, all of whom are Cumming residents, had any relevant criminal history on record in the county.
