Gainesville man accused of sexually assaulting disabled adult

A Gainesville man is accused of sexually assaulting a disabled woman, according to authorities.

Christopher John Young, 33, was charged with aggravated sodomy and exploitation of a disabled adult. He was booked Saturday in to the Hall County Jail, where he remains.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Young allegedly “forcefully sodomized a disabled adult.” The victim is 39 and was acquainted with Young, but Lt. Scott Ware did not disclose how the two knew each other.

The incident allegedly happened July 11 in Gainesville.

The victim’s family reported it to law enforcement, Ware said.

The case is still under investigation.
