Authorities are investigating the discovery of human skeletal remains in south Forsyth.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Capt. Tim House said a landscape architect looking for moss found the bones about 3:15 p.m. Friday in a wooded area off Bluegrass Valley Parkway.
Sheriff Ted Paxton confirmed that a skull and other remains were found, though it was not clear how they got there.
“We’ll have to wait for a forensic anthropologist and medical examiner to give us a more scientific analysis as to how long the remains have possibly been here,” Paxton said.
That investigation could take several days.
Authorities were not able to immediately determine how the person died.
