Authorities have determined a Forsyth County man was murdered by his wife sometime over the weekend in a domestic murder-suicide in north Forsyth.

Deputies arrived at a home in the 5400 block of Memphis Street in north Forsyth at about 3:45 a.m. after a friend of the family called 911 for a welfare check at the house, according to Cpl. Doug Rainwater of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Inside the home they discovered the bodies of Adrian Lavaughn Brewster, 50, and Jackielyn Belangel Brewster, 32, of Cumming. Rainwater said that they believe Jackielyn Brewster murdered her husband over the weekend, before taking her own life on Monday morning.

Rainwater said that the cause of death for both individuals is being withheld until an autopsy is concluded.

Two children under the age of 10 were found unharmed in the residence and have been taken to an undisclosed location, he said.

The incident will continue to be investigated by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
