An Alpharetta horse trainer facing federal child molestation charges was arrested recently for, among other offenses, allegedly driving while naked.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s records show that Kenneth John Acebal, 46, was charged June 8 with possession of methamphetamine, public indecency and possession of drug-related items.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Karleen Chalker said Acebal was released June 18 from the Forsyth County Detention Center after posting $17,165 bond.
According to a sheriff’s report, Acebal was pulled over June 8 at the Lanier Crossing shopping center after a motorist reported seeing a naked man driving north on Ga. 400 in a black Cadillac sport utility vehicle.
Deputies noted that the driver, later identified as Acebal, was fully clothed but his pants were twisted and there were several pornographic magazines in the passenger seat.
Acebal got out of the vehicle and told the deputy "he was not naked and that he was attempting to urinate in a bottle while driving," the report shows.
Authorities searched the Cadillac and found what they suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as a pipe used for smoking the substance.
The report goes on to note that Acebal eventually confessed to touching himself in a sexual manner while driving on Ga. 400 and admitted the pipe and methamphetamine were his.
According to an FBI report, Acebal was arrested April 11 in Ringgold on charges related to child molestation.
Authorities investigated Acebal after he began talking online with undercover agents about his desire to have sex with a child, the report shows.
He was arrested after attempting to meet with what he thought was a child to have sex.
According to the Web site Rate My Horse PRO, Acebal runs a horse-training business out of a farm in Alpharetta.
