One dead in domestic shooting in north Forsyth

Local authorities are reporting that one person was killed overnight during a domestic shooting in north Forsyth. 

According to Cpl. Doug Rainwater of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, a man was shot and killed in a residence on Berry Patch Drive in northwest Forsyth County. 

The shooting occurred between family members and at this point, no charges have been filed, according to Rainwater. 

The incident is currently under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit and the county District Attorney's Office 

Rainwater said that the Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the identity of the deceased until family members and friends have been notified.
