A drawing of the suspect has been issued by Cumming police.
Cumming police have asked that anyone with information about the robbery suspect call (770) 781-2000. Ask to speak with Sgt. Scott Burgess or the patrol supervisor on duty.

Authorities are asking the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with a robbery last week at Georgia Auto Pawn.

Cumming police are handling the investigation into the robbery, the third at the Canton Road business since November.

The department has released a sketch of the suspect, in the hopes that someone will recognize him.

Cumming Police Sgt. Scott Burgess, who is serving as interim chief of the department, said the suspect did not use a weapon in the most recent robbery, which occurred about about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

He said a female employee received minor injuries in the incident, but was not hospitalized. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Burgess said it is not clear if the robberies are connected.

“There’s really no way for me to know until we catch the person,” he said.

Burgess said Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies used dogs to help police search for the suspect Tuesday.

In the January incident, a female employee reported a male suspect took her purse after sticking a blunt object in her back while she was locking up the store.

In November, an employee said someone walked up from behind her and demanded money. It was not clear in that incident if the suspect had a weapon.
