SOUTH FORSYTH — A man suspected of recording a woman with his smartphone while she was in a Kohl’s dressing room in south Forsyth has been found and arrested.

Daniel Zakkam, 39, of Duluth, has been charged with eavesdropping and surveillance/unlawful acts for the March 8 incident at the Kohl’s at 3630 Peachtree Parkway.

The woman reportedly confronted Zakkam when she realized he was recording her from the dressing room next to her and was able to take a picture of him before he left the store, said Deputy Doug Rainwater, a spokesman for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

“The public was able to identify the man, and detectives were able to confirm the identity,” Rainwater said.

Zakkam was arrested at his home in Duluth March 22.

Rainwater said he was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held at the Forsyth County Jail. As of Wednesday afternoon, he had not posted his $5,610 bond.
