WEST FORSYTH — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is conducting training today on Bethelview Road between Kelly Mill and Castleberry roads, authorities said.

Just north of the Big Creek Greenway trailhead, “numerous SWAT teams” began scenario and negotiation training about 7 a.m., according to Doug Rainwater, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

They are using the private property with permission from the owner. The training can be seen from the road, though traffic is not expected to be affected.

Rainwater said deputies and patrol and SWAT vehicles can be seen in the area “through this afternoon.”
