GAINESVILLE — A truck submerged in Lake Lanier at Little River Park on Wednesday had been reported missing Sept. 11 in Loganville, according to a Gwinnett County police report.
Two brothers in Loganville called police to say that their black 2006 Ford F150 pickup was missing.
The owners told police no one else had a key to the vehicle, nor did anyone else have permission to use it, according to the report.
“According to them there were no signs of forced entry such as broken glass,” the report reads.
About 3 p.m. Wednesday, divers with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office’s underwater search and rescue unit checked out the vehicle to make sure no one was inside.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers assisted the sheriff’s office in finding the vehicle.
Gwinnett County police could not provide any further details on the investigation.
