Forsyth County middle school students can earn high school credit if they are in advanced Spanish or math classes.
It’s a policy the local school system has had in place for a while, though not all parents may be familiar with it.
The Forsyth County Board of Education is scheduled to review the program, as well as consider adding science to the list for next year, during its meeting tonight.
Also on the board’s agenda is reviewing the fiscal year 2012 budget calendar.
The final calendar is slated for approval next week.
Tonight, the board will take a look at the current version, which includes deadlines for departments and budget drafts.
The board will also review National Educational Technology Standards for Students and a revision to the district's facilities naming policy.
