This weekend, people from Forsyth County and beyond will get their first look at Denmark High School, the county’s newest traditional high school and what school administrators are calling the largest high school in the state.

This Saturday, the school will host its grand opening ceremony from 10 a.m. to noon, and during that time the public can walk through the campus, meet teachers and staff and see what the high school has to offer its students.

The event will feature a short program on the school, a talk from school officials and community leaders, tours of the building and a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Located in south Forsyth at 645 Mullinax Road in Alpharetta, Denmark is notable for its sprawling campus size, large equestrian facility and upcoming veterinary science program, and will be led by Principal Heather Gordy.
