SOUTH FORSYTH — Balfour Beatty Construction recently presented Laura Wilson, principal of South Forsyth High School, with a $10,000 donation for the transformation of the school’s 25-year-old library into a modern learning commons facility.
The space will house a computer center, flexible classroom space and individual study rooms to benefit South’s 3,000 students, according to Maggie Gustavus, media relations and world language department chair.
“The learning commons will create a central location where students can gather to study independently, work in collaborative groups on projects and presentations, all while receiving support from our instructional technology specialists,” she said.
The construction company is currently expanding and renovating the campus facilities at South.
