EAST FORSYTH — Students, parents and district administrators viewed the “We Are Exceptional!” interactive gallery Thursday at Haw Creek Elementary School.

Created by Tara Buzeta’s class for Exceptional Children’s Week, which was March 7-11, the gallery highlighted physical, mental and learning differences and disabilities children face to increase awareness and teach kids how much they have in common.

Posters had QR codes that could be scanned with a smart mobile device to learn more through the use of technology.

Haw Creek’s morning news also highlighted various disability topics throughout the week, and the media center displayed relevant books.
