Lambert High School art students swept the recent Sandy Springs Chalk Walk competition.
Rina Yoo and Daniel Sakamoto placed first and second, respectively, in the high school category while Devin Marquess and Emma Thomes shared third place.
All are members of the National Art Honor Society.
“Not many have drawn with chalk before, other than playing with chalk as a child, so it’s fun to see how the students tackle the medium,” said Ashley Young, the students’ teacher at Lambert and National Art Honor Society sponsor. “I’m always blown away with what they create.”
Young, meanwhile, took first place in the adult category.
