The Forsyth County school system is serving as an evaluation site for the Georgia Department of Education's English/language arts materials for kindergarten through eighth grade.

Residents are encouraged to evaluate the programs and materials that have been submitted to the state for adoption for the 2009-10 school year.

The evaluation site is in the cafeteria at the Piedmont Learning Center off Dahlonega Highway, behind the Board of Education.

The site will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through July 18.
