Luck be a lunch lady tonight.

At Brookwood Elementary, Patricia Martinez is known as Lady Luck.

A cafeteria worker at the school, Martinez’s most recent lucky strike was winning a radio station lunch lady contest.

The morning show crew from Kicks 101.5 stopped by the school Tuesday to reward Martinez and her fellow servers with prizes for their hard work.

Martinez said she likely won because “we work very well with the kids. We’re always doing extra and making sure the kids are happy and the food is good.”

When the station arrived Tuesday morning, students dressed up to celebrate with Martinez.

And it wasn’t the first time Martinez has been a contest winner. She’s also won tickets to see Tim McGraw in concert and passes for Music Midtown last month. Two years ago, she got $1,000 cash.

“They say I have the lucky hand,” she said. “But I always tell them just to try. If you just try, if you want it, you could be a winner.”
