Students in the Forsyth County school system are out Friday, their last scheduled off day until the year ends May 24.
“We had planned the 2012-13 school calendar with two inclement weather days,” said Jennifer Caracciolo, spokeswoman for the school district. “While the first day was used, the second day was not. So students and school staff will be off for the day.”
She added that the system’s central office will be open Friday.
When classes resume Monday, students will enter the home stretch of the school year.
“After two weeks of CRCT testing and preparing for more testing at the middle and high school level, we hope our students and teachers enjoy their long weekend,” Caracciolo said.
