GPA: 4.4, weighted

Classes: Completed manufacturing and engineering pathways; took 13 AP courses; Student of the Month in AP calculus AB, AP calculus BC and AP computer science; War Eagle of Distinction in Spanish 2 and AP U.S. history; GA Certificate of Merit.

Next steps: Will attend Auburn University this fall to major in mechanical engineering and participate in the Honors College.

In school: Chapter reporter for the Technology Student Association (TSA); Received first place in systems control, second in music production and Chapter Team at the state TSA competition, where South placed first; member of BEST and FIRST Robotics when BEST won the state championship and FIRST placed 12th in the district and was a finalist at the world championship; photographer for the electric car team; National Honor Society; National Technical Honor Society; Rho Kappa Social Studies National Honor Society; Beta Club.

Out of school: Tutors at South’s Saturday Academy for calculus, physics and chemistry; has a summer internship in the purchasing department; volunteers at church for a week-long summer program for elementary-age kids.

Future goals: “I want to participate in more internships and co-ops at Auburn and possibly pursue a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.”
