SUWANEE — The Forsyth County Board of Education did not let four graduations in two days stop them from continuing construction projects as they met for a called meeting on Tuesday in between North and West Forsyth High School commencement ceremonies in Gwinnett County.
South Forsyth and Lambert held their graduations Wednesday.
The board discussed the following:
* Barton Malow Company as manager for the construction project at North for a maximum price of $29.6 million.
Forsyth County is expected to receive $3.3 million in state reimbursement, with the remaining funding being pulled from local budgets.
* The installation of synthetic turf on Lambert’s athletic practice field, which is a joint project with the county's government. A vote was delayed to further review the scope of the project and the bids.
