The Forsyth County school system plans to make up the Jan. 8 snow day on Feb. 17, when students were originally scheduled to be off.
Icy conditions and slippery roads caused the district to release classes early Jan. 7 and close Jan. 8.
School was also canceled Sept. 22 due to heavy rain, though the school board decided not to use Feb. 16 as a make-up day.
As a result, students still will have that day off.
In addition, Feb. 18 is a student holiday for Forsyth Academy students and is a staff furlough day for Forsyth Academy only.
