The city of Johns Creek is playing host to the SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference 25thAnniversary Tournament this weekend.
The tournament begins today and wraps up Sunday. Games are scheduled at South Forsyth and three other nearby high schools — Alpharetta, Chattahoochee and Northview.
The collegiate lacrosse conference is the largest in the nation with 39 teams representing eight states.
As a member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association, the champions in both Division I and Division II will receive an automatic bid to the MCLA Championships, set for May 14-19 in Greenville, S.C.
Florida State University in Division I and Savannah College of Art and Design in Division II are the defending champions.
Among the weekend’s activities will be a celebration of the tournament’s 25thanniversary team, as well as the induction of the first SELC Hall of Fame class.
