Students interested in attending the 2013 Forsyth County Regional Technology Fair have through Friday to register.
Set for Jan. 26 at Whitlow Elementary School, the Forsyth County school system event is open to all students in the third through 12th grades.
“The Forsyth County Tech Fair is a wonderful opportunity for young people …who have a passion for technology,” said Todd Phillips, the instructional technology specialist organizing the fair.
“Tech Fair is an engaging competition that allows some of Forsyth’s best and brightest to be recognized for their exemplary skills and talents.”
The fair features a variety of categories, ranging from robotics and digital video editing to multimedia applications, programming and graphic design.
Students can participate in the technology literacy challenge and programming challenge, but can enter just one project due to the overwhelming response to the event.
Though sign-ups run through Friday, the $10 registration fee must be postmarked by Jan. 18.
First-place finalists from the county’s regional fair will be invited to the state technology fair March 9 in Macon.
