NORTH FORSYTH — Silver City Elementary School commits part of every day to science, but Thursday was a special day as the north Forsyth school held a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) day for students. Classes participated in various activities and projects that promoted STEM learning. Schools in Forsyth County, especially at the elementary level, have been conducting STEM programs to encourage early experiences in science and create a foundation for the idea that science can be fun.
