Boos and ghouls and their families are invited to Forsyth County’s second annual Trail ’n Treat event this weekend.

Local public safety officials will be on hand from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Central Park on Keith Bridge Road to offer information on costume and pedestrian safety and more.

Admission is one bag of wrapped candy per family.

"This event will provide an opportunity for residents to learn how to stay safe during the Halloween season while also enjoying the festivities," said Forsyth County Fire Capt. Jason Shivers.

"This is the second year for this event and we are certainly looking forward to it."

Face painting, balloon animals and games are among the event’s family-friendly activities.

Children should bring a sack to collect candy along the trick-or-treat trail.
