Kudos to Sorrells

With the end of the year, Doug Sorrells saw his 12-year tenure as clerk of the court come to an end as well. His presence within the county government will be missed.

During three terms as keeper of the county’s court records, Sorrells consistently conducted himself in a professional manner. He focused on the efficient operation of his department and providing quality service to those who interacted with the clerk’s office, whether they be officers of the court or members of the general public.

During his tenure, Sorrells did much to modernize the clerk’s operation, bringing many of the county’s records into the digital age for the first time.

And perhaps most remarkably, he managed to complete 12 years of public service with his integrity and reputation intact, without being the subject of controversy or scandal. We wish him well in his retirement.
