Fiery north Forsyth wreck results in multiple injuries
Heard Rd wreck

NORTH FORSYTH - Officials have not yet said how many people were hospitalized following a fiery wreck at the intersection of Heard Road and Heard Lane just after 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The wreck, which is currently under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff Office's Traffic Specialist Unit, or TSU officers, left a Dodge pickup on it's side, jammed up against an Acura MDX crossover utility vehicle.

Both vehicles caught fire, although reports from witnesses indicated that everyone made it out of the vehicles before the fire spread.  The fire, fed by fuel leaking from the pickup truck, destroyed both vehicles.

Heard Road remained closed for nearly two hours as emergency workers treated the injured and then investigated the wreck.

This story will be updated.
