Forsyth County Fire Station 5 on Holtzclaw Road in northeast Forsyth will temporarily close for facility repairs beginning Friday.

According to the fire department, the station’s coverage area will be handled by Stations 1, 9 and 12, which are on Castleberry Industrial Drive and Browns Bridge and Settingdown roads respectively.

“Every effort will be made to expedite the needed repairs and return Fire Station 5 to a state of readiness as soon as possible,” said Fire Chief Danny Bowman.

The duration of the closure has not been determined.

The two-bay Station 5 opened in 2005 and is next to Chattahoochee Elementary School.
