CLEVELAND — Former Gainesville Police Chief Brian Kelly was found dead about 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the White County Coroner’s Office.

The White County Sheriff’s Office and the Coroner’s Office said the death is under investigation and did not release any further details at this time.

Kelly resigned from the post on Aug. 29, 2014.
