Frost advisory issued for overnight

ATLANTA -- The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for much of north Georgia from midnight tonight until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The forecast calls for low temperatures from 33 to 35 degrees, although pockets of freezing temperatures will exist as well.

A frost advisory means that frost is expected, according to the weather service.

The early season blooming of foliage across the state could result in damage to sensitive vegetation with temperatures approaching freezing.
