A major Forsyth County intersection will be impacted on Monday for resurfacing as part of a three-day project.
On Wednesday, Georgia Department of Transportation officials announced the project at the intersection of Browns Bridge Road (Hwy. 369) and Ga. 400 on Monday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Ga. 400 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction during the work.
Drivers taking Browns Bridge Road east will take a detour using Keith Bridge Road (Hwy. 306) to Atlanta Highway (Hwy. 9). Conversely, those taking the road west will detour from Atlanta Highway to Keith Bridge Road
After Monday’s project to resurface the intersection, workers will pave the inside lanes of Ga. 400 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, crews will pave the inside lanes.
There will be single lane closures on Ga. 400 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday.
GDOT officials encourage drivers to plan ahead for Monday’s commute.
