Authorities say that one person has been taken to the hospital in critical condition following a collision in south Forsyth. 

According to a spokesman with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, the two vehicles collided at the intersection of Peachtree Parkway and Old Alpharetta Road at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday evening. One individual was transported from the scene to North Fulton Hospital. 

A post made to the sheriff's office's facebook states that residents in the area should expect delays. 

The scene is being investigated by the sheriff's office's traffic safety unit.
